When can you sign up for Marketplace health insurance?

There are usually only two different times that you can sign up for health insurance through the Marketplace, the annual enrollment period and special enrollment periods.

Annual Open Enrollment

November 1 - January 15

Special Enrollment Periods

60 day period anytime throughout the year if you experience any of the following changes:

  • Got married.

  • Had a baby, adopted a child, or placed a child for foster care.

  • Got divorced or legally separated and lost health insurance.

  • Death

  • Moved to a new home in a new ZIP code or county

  • Involuntary loss of other health insurance

  • Gaining membership in a federally recognized tribe or status as an Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) Corporation shareholder

  • Became a U.S. citizen

  • Leaving incarceration

  • AmeriCorps State and National, VISTA, and NCCC members starting or ending their service 

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 6 organizations which offer 56 products in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options. 

We do represent all of the major carriers in the area and should another plan seem to better meet your needs, we will connect you with the appropriate resources.
